Management
The information on this page is intended to help instructors of CSE courses to be
familiar with the course management tools in the CSE Dept.
- Crconfig - This is the main program that you will use to manage your course.
With this program, you can view the course roster, create submit and/or project
directories, and add a grader for your course.
You can login to crconfig at the following URL:
https://www.cse.ohio-state.edu/crconfig
An online FAQ regarding crconfig is available at the following URL:

- Windows Submit - Windows Submit Directories are used by CSE 100, 101,
200, and 201. These submit directories are stored on the Windows server filer1.
On every PC, they are located under the S:\submit drive in "My Computer". Please note
that the submit folder is hidden by default. If you are unable to see the submit
folder in the S:\ drive folder, then you will need to edit your folder options to
show hidden files and folders. You can change this setting in "My Computer-->Tools-->
Folder Options...-->View-->Show hidden files and folders".
Once inside the submit directory, you will see that each submit directory is named
by the 5 digit course call number. Once inside the proper submit directory, an
instructor can make submit space for each lab with the program PCONTROL. This
program uses a file called control.txt to generate the submit space.
In the control.txt file, the TA will need to specify the labnames to create submit
space for, as well as make sure that the user list is current with the roster.
- UNIX Submit - UNIX submit directories are located in /submit on the
UNIX system. You can get there by typing cd /submit. These submit directories
are broken up by course name and are created via crconfig by the course instructor.
