The CSE Computing Services Help Desk Staff provide technical support for the Faculty, Staff, and Students in the CSE Department. Our hours of operation and contact information are provided below.

The CSE Help Desk provides many services to the CSE Community. The Help Desk answers technical questions and fixes problems related to Accounts, PCs, Printing, Wireless Access, Backups and Restores, and Locks/Security.
The Help Desk also offers services such as MSDNAA software checkout, support for researchers, poster printing for Grad Students, laptops and projectors are also available for Faculty to reserve. See the list below for a description and links to all of the services we offer.
- Accounts - This page explains how to login to the CSE Domain, common login problems, how to reset your password, and all other account related problems.
- Mail, News, Web, and Remote Access - This page explains how to set up your e-mail, news client, create a web page, and login remotely to the CSE environment.
- Course Management Software - Information for instructors regarding crconfig, submit, and pcontrol.
- PC Support - Common troubleshooting techniques, and lists of software and specs for the CSE Dept. PCs.
- Printing - Information about the CSE Printers and solutions to common printing problems.
- Wireless Network - Wireless networking is available to CSE faculty, staff and CSE majors for mobile secure network access from specially equipped laptops and PDAs.
- Backups and Restores - The CSE Dept. maintains a robust disaster recovery system. Find out how to retrieve lost files, and when and how often backups occur.
- Locks and Security - The Help Desk controls the lock system to the CSE buildings. If you need to gain access to a door, please look at this page.
- MSDNAA Software Checkout - The CSE Dept. provides free Microsoft software that is available to CSE Students, Faculty, and Staff. Many popular titles are available for checkout. Check out this link for more details.
- MSDN Book Checkout - The CSE Dept. has a library of books from Microsoft that are available for checkout. To see the list of available titles, please check out this link.
- Poster Printing - Poster Printing is available to CSE Faculty and Grad Students free of charge. Follow this link for information on sizes and formatting requirements.
- Equipment Checkout/Reservation - The Help Desk provides laptops and projectors for checkout to Faculty members who need them for courses and presentations. We also offer a laptop for Faculty who are traveling.
- Research Support - Support for Linux installations, connecting to the CSE Network, and Widows patches can be found here.
- CSE Lab Reservations - Contact the Help Desk if you would like to reserve a lab for a midterm, or to reserve the conference room in Bolz 111 for group projects.
- CSE Labs - Lists important CSE Lab information such as location, hours of operation, policies, and more.
- CSE Timesheet Information - Information regarding timesheets for student staff and managers.
- User FAQ - A list of common questions received at the Help Desk, and answers.
