- Hardware Probelems - If you experience any hardware problems with your
PC, such as a broken mouse, keyboard, or other problem preventing the machine from
booting up or working properly, please contact the Help Desk at 2-6542, and we will
replace the defective hardware as quickly as possible. We usually have a few spares
we can replace your PC with, but if many break at once, it may take a day or two for
a technician to come out and replace the defective part.
Most hardware problems, however, are able to be resolved the same day.
- Software Problems - The Help Desk is also here to help with software
problems you encounter on your PC. Please contact the Help Desk at 2-6542 if you
are experiencing difficulties related to software on your PC.
If you need to have a new piece of software installed on your PC for you, you may
request that as well. Please send an e-mail to help@cse.ohio-state.edu
with the software title that you would like to have installed, why you need it, and how soon
you need it. While we cannot service all requests for software due to licensing
and support issues, we will do our best to accomodate your request.
