Poster Printing
The CSE Dept. has a color poster printer that can be used for printing posters for
presentations, advertising events, or any other reason that a poster may be needed.
- Who Can Print Posters? - CSE Faculty, CSE Staff, and CSE Grad Students
can all request a poster to be printed. Undergraduate groups can request a poster
with a Faculty member's approval.
- How To Print a Poster - The poster printer is located in the CSE Help
Desk in Dreese 895. To print a poster, bring your file to the Help Desk and an
Operator will load the file onto a PC and print it for you. We can also map a network
drive to your computer to retrieve the file for printing.
- What Sizes Are Available? - We carry 24", 36", and 42" wide paper rolls
that are 100' long. We have both glossy and matte paper. Please be sure to specify
the size of poster you would like, and try to have your document already sized before
you come to have it printed.
- What File Formats Can Be Printed? - Adobe Acrobat files are the easiest
to print and turn out the best. Microsoft Power Point also makes nice posters
although there are sometimes formatting issues.
- How Long Does It Take To Print? - It generally takes about one hour to
print a medium to large poster. However, if there are formatting issues with your
file, or a long line for the printer, it can take up to a day. Please try to leave
24 hours for your poster to be printed, to take into account any problems that
might arise.
