Bachelor of Science in Computer & Information Science (BS CIS)
The Ohio State University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The BS CIS program is not accredited by any commission of ABET, Inc. (http://www.abet.org) and has not sought such accreditation.
The BS CIS program offers students a broad, liberal education in the physical sciences, mathematics, and humanities, along with intensive study in computer science.

Majors must select a specialized option. Requirements for the specialized options may dictate core and technical elective choices.
Students may access their Degree Audit on-line at the University Registrar's site. The Degree Audit is an up-to-date list of courses completed toward the degree and courses yet-to-be taken. The Advising Report available at the same site may also be useful.
Academic standards, probation, etc.: Students are required to maintain appropriate academic standards, as determined by ASC; students who fail to do so are subject to probation, dismissal, or other action. Please see this ASC page for details.
