Lecturer and Senior Lecturer Recruiting
The College of Engineering at Ohio State University is seeking highly qualified and skilled Senior Lecturers (R72010) and Lecturers (R72009) to support the teaching mission of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
Senior Lecturers/Lecturers are responsible for teaching introductory and advanced undergraduate courses in all areas of Computer Science from software engineering to algorithms to computer architecture and AI. The current teaching load for full-time lecturers is roughly seven courses over the fall and spring semesters combined. Summer teaching may also be available, depending on demand. Teaching schedules are flexible. The positions are full-time and non-tenure-track. Salary will depend on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
Qualifications:
An appointee to a senior lecturer position will have (1) an earned doctorate in Computer Science, (2) a master’s degree and at least 5 years of teaching experience with documentation of high quality teaching, or (3) extensive experience (20+ years) in the computing field. Applicants with mathematics degrees should have a background in combinatorial or applied mathematics. Excellent teaching abilities are essential.
