10-Years-Highest-Impact Award from the IEEE International Conference on Data Mining (ICDM)

Xia Ning, an associate professor with CSE and Biomedical Informatics, was awarded the 10-Years-Highest-Impact Award from the IEEE International Conference on Data Mining (ICDM) for her work with George Karypis. Their paper "SLIM: Sparse Linear Methods for Top-N Recommender Systems" has been highly cited since 2011 regarding the impact on the data mining community. ICDM is a premier research conference in data mining.
